Yin Yoga Upper Body, Meridians, and the Grilley's Yang Sequences - 30 hours
We often spend so much time glued to our screens that we end up slouched and too
close to our devices, which can lead to poor posture and a buildup of tension in the
upper body. This tension frequently manifests as headaches, shoulder discomfort,
and other aches.
In this course, we’ll break down the upper body’s anatomy—exploring its muscles, fascia, and unique yin stretches. This basic understanding will show you how every posture can contribute to better overall upper body health.
Next, we dive into the fascinating meridian system—a network of energy channels that circulate Qi, or life force, throughout the body.
You'll learn:
What are meridians? Discover the various meridians, their locations, and their roles in maintaining health.
Understanding Qi: What is Qi? How is it formed, and how does it influence our vitality?
The Meridian Clock: Explore how different times of the day correlate with the activity of specific meridians.
Elements and Emotions: Learn about the connections between the meridians, natural elements, and our emotional states.
Practical Applications: Identify key acupressure points along the meridians and discover techniques to apply these insights both in your personal life and in your yin yoga practice.
Finally, we explore the dynamic yang yoga sequences created by Suzee and Paul
Grilley. These sequences bring energy into the body and encourage a sense of
balance, complementing yin’s inward, meditative quality with yang’s uplifting and
activating effects.
This course not only deepens your understanding of the physical and energetic
dimensions of yoga but also equips you with practical tools to integrate these ancient
principles into everyday practice.
